Reagan's Wish

Our Reason Why

Reagan's Wish (EIN 47-0984045) was founded in 2014 by Kim Smith on behalf of her daughter Reagan who is affected by autism.  Reagan's Wish began because of a random act of kindness when a couple donated an iPad to Kim’s daughter. That simple gift was life changing for Reagan. Touched by their kindness, Kim was inspired to pay it forward.  Initially Reagan's Wish provided iPads as learning tools to at need children affected by autism. In the summer of 2015, Kim wanted to find a way to make a bigger impact for children, teens and adults with special needs and decided she could do that with her love of dance.  Reagan’s Wish now benefits A Chance To Dance for special needs by providing dance scholarships, costumes, photo shoots, social opportunities and much more.

“Reagan’s Wish” BELIEVE.  LOVE.  IMAGINE.
Believe God has a plan for these children.
Love them through their journey.
Imagine the things they will accomplish.

A Chance To Dance is a performing arts program for children, teens and young adults with special needs.

ACTD VISION:

A CHANCE TO DANCE has a vision of a world where dance is accessible for everyone.
We believe in a world where everyone is free to communicate through dance regardless of their abilities or challenges.  A CHANCE TO DANCE is a place where special needs aren't required, you just need to want to be a part of something special.  We welcome both neurotypical individuals and individuals with special needs into our classroom.
Dance is a powerful form of communication that requires no words.  It allows us all to be storytellers and is a beautiful way for children, teens and young adults with special needs to relate to the world around us.

ACTD MISSION STATEMENT:

A CHANCE TO DANCE touches the lives of children, teens and young adults with
special needs by providing accessible dance education, dance training and experiences
in the arts with emphasis on building confidence and friendships.

These kids are changing the way the world views them - one dance at a time!!
